‘It’s not unusual for
couples to spend
hundreds of pounds on
theirweddingoutfits, so
it doesn’t seemright to
wear themfor just one
day and thenhide them
away in thewardrobe.’
You don’t actually have to trash the clothes, set them
on fire or anything that extreme – although this would
make for excellent photographs! It could be something as
simple as the location that really makes the shoot
special, but of course the more daring you are the more
fun the images will be.
Laura and Chrissy’s photos are a great example.
They were great sports and were happy for me to take
a few candid photos, as well as having an epic paint
fight in the woods, followed by a dip in sea. We all had
loads of fun and so did the locals – it’s not every day
that you see two beautiful brides in their gorgeous
gowns covered in bright paint having a stroll towards
the water!
I first met Laura and Chrissy for a lovely engagement
session at Worthing seafront. Their wedding was in
November 2013, but I wasn’t able to shoot it as my first
baby was due just two weeks after their big day – I
couldn’t risk my waters going in the middle of the
ceremony! I was upset I couldn’t capture their big day,
but delighted I had the opportunity to reconnect with
these beautiful girls for what turned out to be an
absolutely fantastic shoot.
