We’re still receiving compliments to this day, about the
venue, the food – everything. The speeches by the two best
men, Jon and Jon’s dad were particularly memorable, and
there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. everyone really enjoyed
the day and the party at night – it all just went far too quickly.
It isn’t easy planning a wedding. It was stressful at times –
you have to rely on so many people – but we chose well with
all of our suppliers and everything came off perfectly. our
photographs help us to relive the day.
on the day you just have to let go and focus on each other
– if something went wrong we didn’t know about it. We were
more than happy with how it all went and if we were to do it
again, it would be exactly the same.
The real high points were meeting each other on the stairs
at arley Hall before going in together to the ceremony, the
beautiful venue, the speeches, and being surrounded by our
friends and family. We’d say to other couples that it’s never
too early to start planning; the best bands and suppliers book
very quickly. Delegate tasks for each other, for example Jon
chose the cake, I sorted the florist and so on.
on the day, take five minutes out together a few times
throughout – just to be together and to take it all in.
