: So, how did you two meet?
Kirsten
: It was Sunday 4 November 2012. Imagine the scene:
Bonfire Night, sausages in the pan and ice-cold beers in the
fridge. I had some friends over before fireworks in the local park
and met Effie on GaydarGirls a few hours before. I threw caution
to the wind and invited her along and she actually turned up!
Long story short, there weren't just fireworks in the park!
Effie
: I told her she had beautiful eyes – because quite frankly
what else can you say to someone online when you can only
see a little picture? She told me I wasn’t so bad looking
myself! I hadn’t been on an internet date before so I didn’t
have any horror stories to make me think twice and who could
resist the lure of beer and sausages and a very sexy lady?

: When did you decide to tie the knot?
Effie
: When I met Kirsten, my life changed for the better and
I didn’t want to look back. We both knew we had a future
together and when she proposed at the end of last year I
didn’t hesitate.
Kirsten
: Waking up without Effie just became harder and
harder and I realised I never wanted to do it. I had a romantic
setting and location planned but following a nasty accident, I
decided it was more important to tell her I love her sooner
rather than later. We celebrated properly later.
