Alexander Clinic
The Alexander Clinic provides a specialised,
confidential, treatment regime designed to
meet the needs of those who suffer from
chemical dependence (alcohol/drug
addiction). The treatment philosophy
recognises addiction as a primary, no-fault,
potentially fatal illness. Clients learn to acknowledge their personal
responsibility in the recovery process through disciplined
participation and effort. Including detoxification, the programme
duration varies from 1 week to 6 months’ inpatient rehabilitation.
The programme helps clients live a contented and useful life
without the use of any mood-altering chemicals. The foundation
laid in treatment is built upon through attendance at free weekly
aftercare and support meetings.

Abstinence-based, 8-bed
residential care facility, specialises in treatment for addictions, trauma,
anxiety, depression and family work to include alcohol and chemical
dependency, mood disorders, eating disorders, trauma, sexual
compulsivity. Our aim is to deliver the highest quality of treatment in
the most efficient and caring manner. Based on 12-step philosophy
with CBT approach. In addition to these programmes our holistic
approach treats the whole person with medical/psychiatric services
with a wide range of traditional, experiential and integrative therapies
including yoga, acupuncture, metaphoric games, equine assisted
psychotherapy and eye movement desensitisation reprocessing. A
comprehensive family programme is an integral part of the process
enhancing recovery and extending healing to the family.
Yeldall Manor
Yeldall Manor is a rehabilitation centre
set in the heart of the Berkshire
countryside with over 30 years’
experience of helping men aged from 18
to 65 overcome their drug and alcohol
addictions. By identifying and addressing
the issues causing addiction, residents
are able to restructure their lives using
healthier choices and so return to the
wider community drug, alcohol and crime free.
We offer: drug and alcohol detox; 1st stage rehabilitation
programme 12-24 weeks; 2nd stage resettlement programme
12-20 weeks; Free aftercare service.
This is a Christian based programme.
Passmores House
Passmores House provides a
whole package of care from
detoxification and rehabilitation
through to community
reintegration and structured aftercare support. We work holistically
with each individual, tailoring care plans to meet psychological,
physical and social needs. Passmores House, set in a leafy
environment in Harlow, Essex, offers a nine bed detoxification centre
and a seven bed residential rehabilitation service.
The recovery-focused rehabilitation programme includes individual
and couple counselling; one-to-one keyworking; therapeutic,
cognitive and life skills groups; family therapy; physical activity and
healthy eating; complementary therapies; volunteering placements
within the community and access to local college courses. Our
aftercare services support sustained recovery in the community.
The purpose-built detox service at Passmores House provides 10 to
28 day detox programmes with medical, nursing, group work and
one-to-one brief psychosocial interventions. Stabilisation services are
also offered. A pre-admission visit with keyworker is welcomed.
Transport arrangements for admission can be negotiated.
