PinkWeddings_Spring2015 - page 3

Welcome!
Welcome to our first edition of 2015 – can you
believe it’s March already? Where does the
time go! 2014 was such an incredible year.
We have seen change happen all over the
globe and right here on our doorstep with the
introduction of same-sex marriages, and
conversions becoming available for couples
seeking to change their civil partnership into a
same-sex marriage. It was definitely our year.
As we embrace 2015, we’re keeping a close eye on our friends across the pond.
Major moves have happened – states introducing same-sex marriage and even
the Supreme Court finally getting involved and taking a step for our rights. In this
issue we talk about how the fight for equality in the USA has changed over the
years and what to expect moving ahead.
We know how much you love to read about real life stories and wedding plans
and in this issue we have gone to town by offering you a variety of great stories
and concepts that may help spark some ideas for your forthcoming wedding.
We speak to Konrad and Robert about their romantic proposal and get a sneak
preview into how this unfolded. Craig and Josh share their shabby-chic wedding at
the HMS Drake Navy Base and we take an intimate tour around Michelle and
Katharine’s rustic marquee wedding – a great variety for you to enjoy.
The magazine is always packed with help and information to make your day
special and we seek out the best in the industry to make sure we try and cover
every angle before, on the day, and a er. Damian Clarkson introduces the idea of
‘surprise weddings’ for those of you who want to cut straight to the big moment!
Meanwhile, photographer Jennifer Bedlow explains why an engagement shoot is
a great way for you and your partner to get the most
out of your wedding day photography.
Well, I’d better not give it all away… so I hope you
enjoy the magazine as much as I did reading it before
it went to press, whether you’re reading it in its glossy
format or your tablet. It’s good to have you with us!
