Canary Sail is a family-run, official royal Yachting association (rYa)
training centre with years of experience in sailing, as well as a vast
knowledge of the local area. they offer courses, from competent
crew through to yachtmaster and cruising instructor, so you can get
the most out of your sailing holiday, taking things at your own pace.
all instructors are dedicated to providing a safe and
enjoyable experience for visitors – who often come back after
their first visit – offering knowledge and qualifications that will
make even the shakiest seafarer feel safe and at home among the
waves. all of Canary Sail’s yachts are equipped to rYa/mCa safety
standards, but also offer luxurious cabin space for when you’re

Jim Grey, who runs Canary Sail as school principal and
yachtmaster instructor, moved to the Canary islands nine years ago,
leaving his marketing background behind to seek adventure. along
with his partner Kirsten Dreier and the rest of the instructors, he is
eager to offer a friendly atmosphere so that you leave not only
relaxed, but also with a qualification of value.
