Suited and booted
Susannah Hall of Susannah Hall Tailors guides you through

I have been making bespoke suits for over 20 years. I started
as a mobile tailor, visiting chaps in the city. I then opened a
showroom in Clerkenwell and have been here for more than
ten years. I have a very loyal clientele and see themmore as
friends.
Representing the best of British, Gary Barlow has created
much suit envy over the past year, making windowpane and
Prince of Wales checks incredibly popular. Tweed has come
into its own and is now not only the choice of the classic
gentleman but also young fashionistas.
I love the brighter and soft blues for the spring and summer –
they are very flattering and can be worn for formal and more
fun occasions too. Lighter, textured grey is also a fabulous tone
– not to everyone’s taste, but it looks incredible!
At SHT, we favour the classic English cut for weddings,
although we are able to design and build suits for vintage,
mod or even the most eccentric look.
I once had an enquiry about making a bespoke PVC suit! I
had to disappoint the gentleman, but I did try to point him in
the right direction. I do love a challenge and am happy to
receive bespoke requests of any kind. If someone wants to be
really creative and original, then I am delighted to be the one
to help them make their dream come true!
