Language of love
Morse Collection is perhaps one of the most
exciting jewellery designs I have developed,
inspired by the code itself. I literally awoke in
the middle of the night, which is not like me,
and jotted down a few ideas. The next day I
checked out the dots and dashes, and devel-
oped my first ring with the message ‘always’.
The design progressed, and I built it into
our website so that potential customers
could create their own secret message in dots
and dashes and send it to me for a quotation.
Each piece of Morse jewellery is unique,
and each piece is hand made to order, so
your message will use round diamonds –
the dots – and so many baguette diamonds
– the dashes.
In the lifetime of the Morse collection,
there have been many cryptic requests – like
‘room 67’ – and an expectant father bought
his pregnant wife a bangle with the message
‘Tum-Tum’. The choice, and the secret, is yours.
This is an award-winning design concept,
and at the award-giving ceremony, Ruby
Wax was the compere; I honoured the
occasion by presenting her with a ring with
the word ‘Wax’ in rubies.
It is the only jewellery design I have ever
patented, and so for the next 25 years it is a
protected concept, a very special jewellery
design and makes a beautiful diamond-set
piece with a meaning.
The same design element is carried
through the spectrum of every piece of
jewellery created in our workshop, and with
40 years’ experience in the jewellery trade,
our team of sales and manufacturing staff
have it pretty well covered.
The collection of pieces ranges from
engagement rings, pendants and earrings
to bracelets and necklaces, watches and
homestyle products.
The company profile is well known
throughout the UK, and especially in the city
of Glasgow. Our customer list covers a huge
area from Cambridge, London, Elgin,
Inverness and even some people in Japan.
Bringing the design element to precious
jewellery has been a lifelong ambition for
the Smiths. Find out for yourself – pay us a
visit or check it out online.
