w
e first met in Cyprus at
the beginning of 2010.
we were in Starbucks
having coffee and got
talking. it was no
effort and the conversation flowed
naturally – we suddenly realised we’d been
in there for more than two hours. we just
had so much in common. Both of us had
been married before, we each had two
kids, and we were looking for the same
things. A few days later i invited Andrew
for lunch and we’ve been together ever
since.
we had been talking about marriage
for a while when Andrew proposed to me.
i’d actually already asked him at least three
times, but he was looking for that very
romantic and picture perfect moment
when i was supposed to sweep him off his
feet and he would just say ‘yes!’ He
eventually realised that i’d already swept
him off his feet three years ago, so he
proposed to me. i said yes, obviously. we
really wanted to get married. it was
important to us and to our family, to
celebrate our love for each other.
we wanted our special day to be
intimate and simple, but beautiful. we’ve
both done the big white wedding before!
Our venue helped to set some of the style,
but we both knew we wanted a very
strong colour contrast so we decided on
white and fuchsia. we went for Andrew's
