strolling serving tables.
The idea sprang from the creative minds
of Andrew and Myra, who have a drive and
passion for the wedding industry – as
well as the skills to bring the quirky
gliding serving tables to life.

Myra has an extensive history
of working on TV and film
sets, as well as modelling
shoots, doing make-up – and
has been fortunate enough
to have met many
celebrities. She was
inspired by prestige
American wedding planner
David Tutera, host of the
TV show
My Fair Wedding
.
‘I saw them in one of
David’s opulent weddings
and I was blown away,’ says
Myra. ‘I knew I could do
something similar.’ She put
together a UK team, and
they set about creating Able
Table. Since then, the company
has gone from strength to
strength.

When it comes to the technical side,
Andrew has a variety of engineering and
crafting skills that he puts to good use in
building the tables. He also gives the
perspective of the male client and has numerous
ideas for male-themed tables – it was his stroke of
brilliance to create a soldier drummer Able Table! Andrew
has appeared in documentaries and film – including the
hit show
Horrible Histories
.
Nicki, their resident dressmaker, brings her
impressive costuming experience to the team. Apart from
doing many costumes for exhibitions and show
performances, Nicki created a dress for Ronald Reagan’s
daughter, assisted on the Elizabeth and David Emanuel
collection, and did the principal actors’ costumes for the
film
Faint Heart
.
The team know the entertainment
industry like the back of their hands, and
they have been Britannia re-enactors
for many years, having worked on
feature films such as
Robin Hood
,
First Knight
,
Gladiator
and
Robin
Hood: Prince of Thieves
– an
impressive list!
Of course, we can’t
forget the Able Table
models, who are a big part
of the team – they are
trained to open
champagne and be
approachable and
helpful to guests,
ensuring that everyone
leaves at the end of the
night with a grin from
ear to ear.

There are a variety of
themed tables to choose
from, depending on the
style of the event. The
tables stroll along, serving
guests anything from
champagne and cocktails to
appetisers, sweets and desserts.
