Welcome!
When I was asked to write the editor’s piece I wanted to share with you my
personal thoughts rather than something impersonal. So I'm sat here with a
cold Corona and lime by my pool in Arizona and thinking about howwonderful
life is and how incredible it is to see the launch of this fantastc magazine.
Only days before the gay rodeo weekend, I’m remembering last year
when a cowboy got on his knees, and in front of thousands of spectators
proposed to his partner of ten years. Arizona has litle if no legal rights for
same sex couples – but this didn't stop him, and it reminded me of how
Mike and I first started along the path of fightng and securing legal rights
for same sex families in the UK.
When the idea of the magazine was born, I was so excited and could not
believe that we could achieve this and finally produce a quality
publicaton that simply helps couples arrange their big day in the UK and
across the globe, showcasing some of the most proactve hotels, suppliers
and destnatons to make your dreams come true.
I wanted the magazine to be packed
with ideas, innovations, wow factors
and true stories from our readers
– not forgetng the legal aspects, new laws and rights that will come into
play over the coming years. It’s like any legal jargon – you need
somewhere to read about it in plain English.
So here it is,
