For a classically romantic styled wedding day,
Leiston Abbey
is the
perfect historical venue. Dating from 1363 and set in scenic
Suffolk countryside, the abbey boasts some truly spectacular
architectural features that would make for a stunning backdrop
to those all-important wedding photographs. Choose from the
medieval barn, featuring a thatched roof supported by vast old
beams, and a self-contained bar and raised platform for live
entertainment, or the Guesten Hall, discovered and restored 15
years ago and comprising an upper and lower floor – the former
accommodating their licensed ceremony room.
The hire fee allows for the exclusive use of their facilities for you
and your guests – for both ceremony and reception, or reception
only – and includes everything from a dedicated events planner to
a wedding breakfast in the medieval barn. Accommodation is also
available in the Abbey House of Guesten Lodge to make your day
