PERFECT
1
If you don’t knowwhere to start just ask your caterer.
Here at the London Kitchen, we’ve got decades of wedding
planning experience between us, so when it comes to picking
the perfect menu we’ve got plenty of ideas. A good caterer
will be able to help and advise you on what works best for
weddings, and which dishes always go down a storm.
2
Make it personal. Your wedding day is all about you,
and that should be reflected in your menu too. Choose
dishes or ingredients that mean something to you, whether
they remind you of certain places or they’re simply your
favourite things.
3
A cheese course is a winner. Not only is it the perfect
way to end any meal (in my opinion!) it’s also incredibly
economical.
4
Planning a summer wedding? Pick out your favourite
summer cocktails to welcome guests, or better yet, have
your caterer design a bespoke cocktail for the day.
5
The wedding cake is top of the list for many couples, so
speak to your caterer about their favourite wedding cake
supplier to ensure you get the best for your money.
6
If you’re having more guests for the evening
celebration, don’t forget to feed them! We love the idea of
food stalls and stations dotted throughout the party,
keeping guests fuelled and ready to dance!
7
Be individual. Even if you’re planning a totally
traditional wedding there are things you can do to surprise
your guests. Instead of a wedding cake why not choose a
cheese cake instead?
8
Discuss drinks packages with your caterer. Many
caterers offer standard drinks packages, which can be
tailored to suit your menus, tastes and the style of your
event.
9
It doesn’t have to be formal. Many people expect
formal seated meals and silver service at weddings – but if
that isn’t you, there are many other options available, from
bowl food to street food style stalls.
10
Manapés or canapés? Canapés are always a popular
choice, but if you’re looking for a heartier take on the
traditional nibbles you could opt for London Kitchen
manapés, which include bite-size versions of classic
dishes such as fish and chips and roast beef with
Yorkshire pudding.
