Welcome!
Wow – year three and the magazine is going
from strength to strength! Let’s start with a
warm, sunny ‘thank you’ for helping us become
a well-known name in the civil partnership and
same-sex marriage industry. Our magazine is
being read all over the country and we are
excited about what 2014 will bring us.
In this edition, how can we not talk about the new same-sex marriage act.
Family celebrant Christopher JD Lawrence talks about the many options now
available to you and your partner and how you can get the very best for your
signing and ceremony.
If you’re a regular reader you will know we love personal stories. In this edition we
are proud to showcase Mark and Nathan’s black-tie bash, before sauntering into
the countryside to sample Cathy and Georgina’s gorgeous day.
We bring you the personal touch with soon-to-be wed couple Kirsten and Effie,
who talk to us about planning their special day, offering tips and ideas in the
lead-up to their wedding in November.
Food plays a big part of your wedding day and we have snatched a chat with
Damian Clarkson from The London Kitchen, who helps us understand how to pick
the perfect menu and why. Then it’s your turn – we ask our readers to share their
most cringeworthy wedding experience.
Information is key, good or bad, but remember it’s all about helping our community
to make the experience of their wedding day as wonderful as possible, from
planning to the final day. So with that said, we hope
you enjoy this issue as much as we did putting it
together – maybe with a glass of wine or beer, sitting
out in the amazing sunshine the UK seems to be
getting at the moment.
