Bring me sunshine
Bring some sunshine to your home with a print or original oil
painting from Brighton-based fine artist
Jeremy Sanders
.
Specialising in light and colour, Jeremy uses a range of cultural
reference points such as vintage cars and distinctive
architecture to illustrate the streets of cities across the world,
where the blazing sunlight sharpens the shadows and
intensifies the rich, bright colours.
‘My paintings reflect a positive view of life,’ he says. ‘I hope that
like a good book, they have a narrative that to some degree you
can get lost in.’ Jeremy’s prints, featuring backstreet Havana,
Venice, Paris, New York and Nice start at £145 (original pieces
are also available).
For an extra special present or personal indulgence, commission
Jeremy to capture your own holiday memories. He’ll work from
your photographs, or draw upon his extensive back catalogue of
source material, to capture all the warmth and happiness of
your time in the sun.

Natural preserves
Have the flowers from your special day preserved for ever as
part of an exquisite, bespoke work of art.
Biddy Hodgkinson
– artist and alchemist – uses plant matter to create her
pigments. She takes petals, peelings and woody flower stems
and treats themwith acids to deliberately eat away swathes
of colour, creating intriguing, sculptural and tactile surfaces
on the canvas.
Her ‘paintings’ are inspired by close observations of life cycles
and she has a particular fascination with the luminosity that
exists in decay and the way it can present unexpected and
often startlingly beautiful patterns.
The flowers you choose say so much about you as a couple
and when your big day is over and your blooms start to fade,
you can continue to celebrate with a stunning memento
that you’ll cherish forever as a symbol of your love.

Deck the walls
A pair of brown eyes
A high quality portrait of a beloved dog is a wonderful present
that will bring a tear to the eye of any owner. As a personal
gift for a partner, or a unique memento for the happy couple,
it celebrates a very special relationship and provides lasting
memories of a faithful companion.
Artist
Aviva Halter-Hurn
trained at Camberwell College of Arts
and has always had a passion for animal portraiture. ‘I love
painting dogs in particular, bringing happiness into people’s lives
with a treasured image that will last forever,’ she says.
Aviva uses a limited palette of inks and watercolour to give her
paintings a timeless quality, reminiscent of the Old Masters. ‘Each
dog portrait is totally unique. Focusing on the angle of the head
or the expression in the eyes helps me convey all the character and
personality of a beloved pet.’ Prices start at £275 for an A4
unframed painting (gift vouchers are available) and each piece of
work takes between three and five weeks to complete.
So much more personal than a photograph, this gift is one of
a kind and tells the heartfelt story of an unconditional bond.
