am a project manager through and through, so i developed
detailed plans and schedules assigning all the tasks.
You only have to look at the
photos to see howwe felt on
the day. We were both
constantly grinning like crazy!
We had such great feedback. one guest described the
party session as a bram, which is Trinidadian vernacular for a
great party. We were on a high, knowing that everyone had a
great tme.

embrace what we love. We had a pop/rock band playing live
and during the sets it was all Trinidadian Soca, which
exemplified everything perfectly.
When we were looking at the format of our ceremony,
we were offered a couple of optons by the registrar and we
chose the ceremony that we most identfied with. Luckily our
neighbour is a professional jazz musician, so when Ramona
called him four days before to ask for a ‘wee favour’ he
agreed and we entered the room to some sublime
saxophone music. We had a special reading and used the
vows the registrar provided.
our friends and family certainly got involved! We had
seven family members staying with us and another four
friends staying at the hotel across the street. The team effort
was amazing – so much so, that we only turned up on the
day, while our family and friends coordinated everything. i
