Adult Substance Misuse
Hertfordshire County Council and Hertfordshire PCT
(operating as
NHS Hertfordshire
) are holding a Potential
Provider session for Adult Drug and Alcohol Treatment services
on
Wednesday 16th February, 2011, 11.00am – 1.00pm, in
Stevenage, Hertfordshire
.
It is open to suitably experienced organisations who may be
interested bidding in the forthcoming tender process
(
April 2011
) for the provision of an integrated adult substance
misuse service (encompassing Models of Care Tiers 2 & 3) in
Hertfordshire. Services will be provided to drug and alcohol
service users within the community and those referred for
treatment via the criminal justice system.
This session will provide an opportunity for potential bidders
to gain a greater understanding of the future plans for this
new service and meet local commissioners.

Manchester Drug & Alcohol Action Partnership invites
stakeholders and potential providers to a pre-tender event on:
Tuesday 15 March 2011 • 1.30 pm - 4.30 pm
Mechanics Institute Conference Centre,
103 Princess St, Manchester, M1 6DD
The Manchester Drug & Alcohol Action Partnership intends to procure
a range of services for people with substance misuse problems. There
will be three tenders that will ask for potential providers to bid for:
1. Intake Service (contract 1)
2. Clinical Service (contract 2)
3. Recovery Social Support Service (contract 3)
We welcome attendance from organisations who may be interested
in providing these services (either wholly or as part of a Partnership
agreement), and also from representatives who have an interest in
innovative and good quality service provision. People who currently
use or who have used drug treatment services in the past are also
welcome to attend.
The aim of the event is to:
• Share with and consult stakeholders on the service model
• Share the strategic direction of adult drug treatment services
• Provide information on the timetable and the procedure for
bidding for tenders.
Attendance at the event will not confer any advantage to any
potential bidders nor will your organisation be disadvantaged by not
attending the event.

PCP has been established as a quasi-residential treatment
facility since 2004 in Luton, and opened its doors in
Chelmsford in July 2010 with a 20 bed unit. Due to further
expansion we are currently looking to recruit two
counsellors with a background in addiction, and more so
the 12 step recovery programme. We require you to have a
minimum of 2-3 years experience working in the field of
addiction. Qualified or working towards being qualified
would be an advantage. We are looking for counsellors to
start immediately.
